Art and French Classes

ART AND FRENCH CLASSES ARE STARTING SEPTEMBER 14!! CLASSES THAT ARE OFFERED INCLUDE BASIC DRAWING 1 AND DRAWING 2, PAINTING/MIXED MEDIA AND FRENCH 1.

Classes had been held at Lisa’s home in Norfolk before the quarantine but moved to Zoom since March for everyone’s safety. We will continue on Zoom until the COVID virus subsides.

Classes are $40/month, for a weekly class one hour class and $80/ week for 2 two hour class. 

Students will need a spiral sketchbook and a set of drawing pencils for all Art Classes which can be purchased at Jerry’s or Michael’s . Students will need the below curriculm for French as well as a notebook and French/English dictionary.

 DRAWING 1 class is for children ages 5-18. BASIC DRAWING 1 IS AN INTRODUCTION TO BASIC DRAWING TECHNIQUES WHICH WILL COVER CONTOUR DRAWING, GESTURING, SHADING, PROPORTIONS, GRAPHIC ART AND MUCH MORE.

DRAWING 2 is for those who have had previous instruction in Drawing. 

PAINTING/MIXED MEDIA CLASS  is also for those who have had instruction in Drawing before we will cover basic PAINTING techniques in watercolor pencils, watercolors, acrylic and oils.

Painting Class will meet weekly on Mondays 1:00-3:00. There is a $20 supply fee/semester if you use my supplies.

Lisa will offer French 1 as well. We use GLENCOE’S FRENCH 1 BONVOYAGE TEXT AND WORKBOOKS (any edition)

Private Lessons are also available in any medium for $40/hour.

LISA HOMESCHOOLED HER 4 CHILDREN THROUGHOUT THEIR ENTIRE EDUCATION AND TAUGHT ART AND FRENCH FOR OVER 19 YEARS IN A PRIVATE HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM. SHE HAS BEEN TEACHING IN HER HOME FOR OVER 6 YEARS. SHE ALSO HAS A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN FINE ART, SPECIALIZING IN STUDIO ART AND IN FRENCH FROM MOUNT HOLYOKE COLLEGE. LISA LIVED IN SWITZERLAND AS A TEENAGER AND STUDIED ART AND FRENCH IN PAIS HER JUNIOR YEAR AT ECOLE DES BEAUX ATRS AND ECOLE DE LOUVRE.
